After writing the Novak & Mitchell  and Duncan Grant series for a few years, I found myself eager to write about Scotland again – which I had done all too briefly in the Duncan Grant books.

So I decided to start a series set in and around my home city of Glasgow.

Shot through with dark Glaswegian humour and thrilling twists, I tried to capture the voices of the people I hear on a daily basis, taking you into the lesser-known parts of the city, as well as the iconic hills and glens of nearby Loch Lomond and Arran.

If you like writers like Ian Rankin, JD Kirk, Stuart MacBride, and Val McDermid, the DCI Lomond series will have you gripped until its haunting, heart-in-the-mouth climax.
